the city of LIFE!

sawadeeka! :)

Bangkok  is derived from two primitive Thai words, i.e. "Bang" meaning Village and "Kok" meaning Olive.
we caught an early flight and settled in our lovely and cosy hotel at Sukhumvit road.:) and the first shopping complex we hit was MBK shopping complex!!

our main mode of transportation was the railway system!! a walking distance from our hotel is Asok station.one great thing about Bangkok is everything is linked through the rail system.once hopped onto it.you can reach your destination without going through the hustle bustle of the crazy traffic.:)

the Damnoen Saduak floating market is a must visit! :)
this place is routinely crowded with hundreds of vendors and visitors floating in their rowing boats selling and buying food and souvenirs. It is definitely an attractive place for us tourists to observe this old and traditional and cool way of selling and buying goods! They push and bang through each other's boat.happening sial!!! :)

Chinatown.
this is the old way of removing skin from your face.using only a fine string! Chinatown began to take shape at the same time as the establishment of Bangkok, when the Chinese inhabiting the old town areas were moved outside the city walls. The best chinese food can be found here!!! the pork knuckles.*Mmmmmmmm* =D

Suan Lum night bazaar!
this place is like Bangsar.really pretty.but don't expect to buy anything from here!! cause for the same piece of clothing we bought from Platinum.they sold it for a whopping rm70 more expensive!! =X we had my Tom Yam Gung here.:)

CHATUCHAK market!!!
Covering 70 rai (35 acres) of land with over 15,000 stalls and more than 200,000 visitors every Saturday and Sunday, Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok is the mother of all markets - and possibly one of the biggest and most famous markets in the world. This place is CRAZYYYYYYYY.i tell you the flock of people that visit this place.we're like ants if viewed from above! they sell practically everything there!! From roosters and chopsticks to vinyl records and a pair of Levi hipsters that you haven't seen in shops for years.there's puppies, flowers, furniture, shower caps.........you name it.they have it! haha :)

apparently the most famous snake show in the world! our tour guide brought us here.but nahh.not interested! hhaha.the diamond parlor didn't interest us either.xD

went to a carving museum thingy..really amazing talents they have!! just a simple drawing.they can picture it in their head and carve out a 3d art!! *salute*

Thai people are really religious people.they pray practically anywhere and anytime! They have full respect to their king too. They have many many festivities and activities that are religion-related.pretty interesting to see a whole new different culture.:)

when we went there it was some motorbike festival.there were super chun bikes displayed out on the road.with few professionals showing their skills off..but the bikes.SEXYYYYY gila.;)

they truly live up to their name-the city of LIFE! the traffic just never seem to slow down....I think if i drive at Bangkok..my patience level will increase by a hundred folds! hahah.

in short..Bangkok is all about the FOOD and the SHOPPING.:) there's not much sight seeing to do as it's practically a happening city.the food.is bliss.=D had a wonderful and insane time shopping there.we practically walked like 5000 steps a day man!! (the tiredness only seeps in when we stop shopping) It is truly a shopper's den.<3

che.we can definitely go Bangkok again when you're back! :)

Job pertama ku.

this summer break I did manyyy things.and one of the many things that I'm really proud of is that I WORKED! :)

they call it data entry.but for me.it was more like a whatever-also-you-can-do job.=D it was an experience to remember.with the burst colleagues and a best friend there.there's something to laugh about everyday.:)
being in the shoes of a working adult made me realize that being a student is truly a blessing.:) i do appreciate assignments and late night studying now.getting up early to go for lectures.getting allowances.and having ample amount of free time!:) oh.did i mention Monash's great summer holidays and breaks.hahaha.working life next time = no life! 12 off days per year is insane.=X

my seat for the past 2 months.:) i like this flexi job as we can take off anytime we want! yea.i took lotsa off days.;)
vege typing..msn chats..tumblring..chit chatting.breaking locks.filing..punching holes.making cards.counting boxes.cellophane taping boxes.playing puzzle.listening to funny conversations.listening to glee songs.planning holidays.bursting about everything under the sky.wasting time.complaining about the annoying dj on the radio.hehe.it's all in our job scope.:)

oh.trust me.we LOVE lunch breaks.:))
it's like we count down every minute till the clock strikes 1pm! =D those free lunches..i likeeee! for my farewell we had dominoes pizza.sweet!:)

ming.we survived working at an office! :D we rock la.hahahah.*highfive*

the day i quit.:)

the day i catched up with sayf too.<3

missing 4 people actually.xD

the paycheck is what I work for.:)
and it's all worth it! stupid iphone incident.it was a tough lesson that i'll never ever forget.my first 'splurge'...

fried chicken by the streets.B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's not too oily.it's perfectly marinated.fried to perfecto! and HOT.=D

this is one my fav thai food- Kueh CHap!!
Kueh Chap in hokkien stands for the word “Cake” and “Mixed”. The “cake” or kueh denotes the use of thicker than usual kuey teow (rice flour cake – which is like lasagna) whilst “mixed” or chap probably describes the use of a mixture of pork parts in the dish. The flat kuey teow-like cake is cut into square / rectangular pieces and are blanched before serving into a herbal soup mixed with an assortment of pork parts, hard boiled egg and tau pok. The spare parts may include belly pork, pork skin, pork ears, pork tongue, pork intestines, pork stomach and lean pork.
it is absolutely DELICOUS!!:)

 fried O JIEN (oyster)!!! this.is.sinful.xD

 glass noodles!

curry chicken rice.it's pretty sweet.not to my likinggg.

 IKAN PANGGANG!!!!

Tom YAM soup yang syokkkkk sekali!

this kinda scenes are everywhere at the night markets! makes your tummy go 'grrrrrrr'!

 and this is...none other than.....the famous.......one and only.....MOO SATAYYYYYY! :)
fyi Moo stands for Pork in thai language.haha.one bite.the pork juice bursts inside your mouth.filling your taste buds with the gorgeously marinated pork.the tenderness of the pork..........*ahhhhhhhh*

 more seafood!

 COCONUT ice cream!!!!
the coconut meat scrapped and left at the bottom of the shell.then the coconut-flavoured ice cream topped with peanuts.lovely.just lovely.:)

one of the famous Bangkok desert.not exactly sure what is it called.it looked attractive.so we beli dan makan!! real sweet.and crispy.and niceeeeeee ;)

THE AMAZING CHILI FLAKES
This is one of the four super meal superheroes! with its addition to any food.the food becomes extra gorgeous and handsome!! hahahahha.his 'partners' also called the 'four flavours', are sugar, dried ground chili, vinegar with chili, fish sauce and/or ground peanuts.
I added this to EVERYTHING man! eating the mee back here now....it taste dull! i miss you amazing ciliiiii flakes.boohooo ='(

I first fell in loveeee with this wonderful ang ku at Krabi.or was it Hatyai.that was few years back.I remember me and my mum ran down the bus to get it.we bought everything the lady had.hahahha.it's really yummy.the sweet gloss on it.the yellow bean filling.the a lil crunch don't know what flour.
my treasure box.:)

Tom Yum Goong!!!!

This dish probably doesn't need much introduction, as it is after all Thailand's national dish. 'tom yum goong' is an aromatic hot and sour soup with shrimps and mushroom (sometimes with other seafood too). Containing a lot of herbs, it's tasty as well as healthy - an absolute must!=D
too bad the prawns weren't that fresh.boo! but the soup.it's just SYOK GILAAAAA :)

this is Nasi Briyani Chicken Curry.it is pretty good actually!! really tasty.or maybe I was really hungry on the plane.hahah.

that's the end of my BKK's food post.:)
