MUFY's charity day
ms.angela called up asking for my help.and of course being a kind soul.i couldn't reject her.:)
last year.we baked and cooked the WHOLE night through.me and pei fun didn't have any sleep at all.was really walking zombie man.xD

this year.pei fun didn't come along.boo! haha.another lecturer came to help.;)
grocery shopping, chopping, peeling, cooking, rolling, baking, filling......its ALOT of work.

13 pies.8 trays of spaghetti bolognese.6 trays of spaghetti carbonara.8 trays of tuna casserole.
yeap.CRAZY i know.:)
i chopped like 5kg of onions.couldn't feel my wrist! atleast we had a lil rest this time (2hours)! but having to wake up at 2am was just yucks.>< sales was great.:D

RK campout..

Ranger kids which is the youngest group in rangers had a campout at Grace PJ.
it was a combined camp with calvary church, KL#1.:)
30 kids.HYPER ACTIVE and full of ENERGY young bright kids.
yes.it was absolute crazy-ness.!

the 3 groups: Si Musang, Sang Harimau, and Sang Kancil.
wished you were young once again huh? haha.

i was the leader for Si Musang.and i had children with all kinda attitude man.
one's too cool for himself, one watches too many cartoon and speak like the characters, one is soo bongo and adorableeee, one thinks there's a ghost in her house, one that has hair longer than her butt.i can go on and on and on.......;)

but.they're ALL cute.well.at times at least.haha!

they had bbq on friday night.then movieee time.played the bomb game.Si Musang rocks the house! *grins* all of them cuddled up in their sleeping games at night-SUPER ADORABLEEE.the sleeping bags were like twice their size.hahha.cutie piessss.

Best Rangers testing is a testing 'camp' to test a ranger.
only the best few are selected from each outpost.
they're tested on different aspects: lashing, fire, first aid, rope craft, compass, tool craft.
there would be an interview where you will face a panel of councilmen, bombarding questions at you.then there would be a theory test.bible and rangers related stuff.

the first time i was chosen for best ranger (when i was 13 if I've not mistaken), I was really stressed out.NO talking throughout the whole testing! (it's REALLY BADDDD)
facing poker-faced scary commanders.finding wood, starting a fire by yourself, abseil yourself down a slope, navigating your way out a jungle and a whole lot more.imagine all of that.
with LOTSA PRESSURE.

I didn't win the title.but I did learn.a lot.

now that I'm 18.I'm a junior commander.

standing on the other side during parade is a pretty cool feeling.my heart rate is perfectly normal.:) i can smile and talk freely.yes.indeed.being a tester is FUN.=D

You fall, you stand up, you clean the bruise, patch it up and move on. remember the scar there.and don't repeat the same mistake again.:)

it's not easy to take up the challenge to be the best.i almost broke down once.winning is not everything.some people may just carry the title and not live up to it.
God is our master ranger.and rangers is not just about all the outdoor fun camping skills.

when we put on our uniform, do we carry Jesus with us?

there are many questions that we as humans can never answer.
we often wonder: why stuff like that happen.why can't God do something to stop or prevent it? why this why that.why He allows bad things to happen.
truth is things do happen for a reason.but sometimes.it also happens because we gave the devil a chance by not praying persistently.
a pastor once shared that He spoke blessings over his wife for 25 years.and suddenly that day his wife felt a huge burden off her shoulder.see the power of speaking blessings and edifying words? the power of persistent praying.
He hears us.we may not get our answers right away.it's not because He doesn't love us.
it's His timing.NOT ours.
