I'm a graduate.

Reflecting back on the first day of Uni. With a bag of overwhelming anxiety and excitement emotions bag I stepped into Monash University, Sunway. Ready to take on the world, ready to fill this chapter of my life with much memories and stories to keep and share to the world next time.

As a high school student back then, we (ok..prob not EVERYONE but me and my friends definitely did) look forward to uni like a kid looking forward to getting a giant candy cane, or like how all girls look forward to our wedding day. I was THAT excited about Uni. Hee.

First semester was a pretty bumpy bimbo one. Haha. The transition from MUFY (Monash University Foundation Year) to degree was a pretty vague one and honestly speaking, we weren't ready to be Uni students.YET. Unprofessional was the word.

Slowly, but surely, I made my mark as a student of Monash. Assignments and exams fear me no more. Conquerors we became. The building didn't seem so big anymore. Clubs were joined, activities and events were spammed. The 2nd and 3rd year got a whole lot more interesting with positions held, a more seniority feel and more demonic subjects to deal with!

This chapter has come to a closure. It has certainly been filled with much colours and words. No sentence or words can possibly express my feelings right now. It's like I'm walking on clouds..it's THAT GOOD, i kid you not. There are so many memorable moments that would forever be etched in my mind. Some of the highlights definitely include coming in as Champs for Monash Amazing Race and winning the polaroid; seeing my hand-drawn Robot tee worn by strangers; Oompa Loompas; KS late night study moments...........it goes on :)

3 years flew by just like that. Adulthood awaits. Freedom lessens as the student title is stripped. Movie tickets and many more cheapo student discounts is foregone as well. But I sure am hoping that the fun never ends and working life will be as interesting. A different level of responsibilities, and potentially a Magic Card owner! HO YEAH (Y).

A special SHOUT OUT and THANK YOUUUU to each and every single one of you that has stepped into my life in this chapter. You all played a part in making this journey so much happier and made this trip worth taking and less challenging. Whether we were group mates, orientation friends, hi-bye category of friendship, buddies, or best of friends...I LOVE YOU ALL. Whatever dramas or wrongdoings I've caused or done, I apologise.
Thank you for all the memories.
You've all certainly made a mark in my heart, in one way or another. <3
I probably won't see some of you ever again..but it was definitely nice knowing you :)

Someday, we'll meet again! Probably on the papers or in holidays! Because life is unpredictable like that. To those great friends that I can safely call HOMIES and Best Friends, I sure hope our friendship stay rock solid like how we are now. Through thick and thin we will conquer. Traditions remain as traditions till we grow old and die (sappy music is playing in the background, so pardon me for being a tad bit emo.hee).

I have the Great One Above to thank. For His faithfulness, His mercy, His unfailing love towards me. A degree holder I would not be if it was not for His grace. Picking me up when I fall, sending earthly angels to encourage me when I'm feeling down and feel like giving up, helping me through those darkest hours and always, always forgiving me for my stubbornness, pride and disobedience. You truly is the One and Only Almighty One.

The Dengue Experience(s)

According to Wiki,

'The virus has four different types; infection with one type usually gives lifelong immunity to that type, but only short-term immunity to the others. Subsequent infection with a different type increases the risk of severe complications.'

Call it ignorance or whatsoever, but only the part bolded appealed to me, really.

Let me take you on a trip down memory lane, back in the year 2007, January 1st...
I was having fever and severe chills. I came out of the room i was sharing with my sister then and went to the study room next door, tugged myself under the sleeping bag, blanket, and comforter to keep myself warm and to reduce the intense shivering. It was a horrible night i still recall.
The night became morning and I was then brought to Sunway Hospital by my daddy to get a blood test run to check what was it since the fever and headaches were not going away. Few hours later, the doc rang me up on my mobile and told me that I have to be admitted to the hospital. I was tested positive for Dengue.
My heart sank. No strong heart moment there at all. I broke down to tears. Sobbing so hardly I was gasping for air.haha.drama queen and emotional are my middle name. So i was admitted, on January 1st. Saw the fireworks..ushering the new year, on the hospital bed.

OK. that was not a great experience that I want to remember and i thought that was it. I could put the whole dengue experience behind me FOREVER cause the doctor did mention to me that my immunity is now stronger. Actually, NO. Read what wiki said, LIFELONG IMMUNITY to that type. So what are the odds that I'd get dengue, for the 2nd time? I thought the chances were close to zero! Clearly, there's a 1% for everything. Last Wednesday I went to bed with high fever and slight chills. Thought to myself, I'm physically weak, all the strenuous and non-stop activities have finally taken a toll on me, time for a body break down. Plus the rain, i'll be fine after 2-3 days. Yeah. Optimism.

Too optimistic I guess, the fever didn't subside and I was feeling terrible. A visit to the local clinic sent me back with fever medicine, and an order to drink more water and rest alot, the usual. The thought of dengue came to me when the spots came up. Doctor dismissed it as probably measles or 2nd chicken pox. Blood tests were done. White blood cells were terribly low. Still, the doc didn't think it was dengue cause the spots weren't looking like rash THEN. After 3 blood tests, and a very low platelet and white blood cells count report later, the doctor suggested that it'd be better if i got admitted to monitor the count and to have a dengue test done.

HO HO HO. the dengue word popped. and I tried to stay in my ignorant and denial bubble.TRIED.

This time, my heart was stronger. I didn't break down (almost, but didn't!). I packed my stuff and left to the hospital with my mum quietly. And the story gets pretty predictable. I was admitted, put on drip, and tagged as a patient of Sunway Hospital, AGAIN.

I dreaded the needles and syringes, but what choices did I have? I hated the stupid drip machine thingamajig that i had to drag around with to pee or shit. I dislike being in an enclosed room for more than few hours and do NOTHING. but i was too lethargic to complain about that, plus those Modern Family episodes really helped lift my spirit up a lil. Eric Stonestreet is the man :)

But on the brighter side of things, I learnt to appreciate the tinier side of things and I felt really blessed. Above all the pain and suffering, I had so many wonderful people surrounding me and I was instantly grateful to my Almighty Creator, for His wonderful blessings upon my life. Every single visit, every gifts, gestures, prayers and messages helped put a smile on my face.

For the care and love, for the juices and cakes, for helping out with my group assignments, for the flowers and fruit basket, for the cards and hugs, for hearing my rants out, for staying over the first night i was alone, for the prayers and calls, for the laughter brought to my hospital bed, for bearing with my suffering throat and not-hyperness, and the list goes on...

It's Day 9 now and I'm recuperating at home. Got discharged yesterday :) Count is still low but I'm guessing those extremely disgusting papaya leaf juice and aloe vera juice is gonna boost them up in no time and i'll be able to brush teeth and jump around again :D

Bits and Pieces of the Year 2011 so far...

Believe it or not, August is here.

THUS, before the year comes to an end, I shall update and brighten up thy blog with some pictures. and just to make sure barashantashaka stays alive.

21st birthdays. Aplenty.

Being the rare breed of age 20 this year makes me feel kinda special in a way. Cheryl Lim kicked start the 21st party year with a rockingly awesome one with a lok lok truck and Just Heavenly's Red Velvet Cake to seal the deal. #Yum.

#Trip 1.

Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

So we bid goodbye to Kenneth at the LCCT. Smart adult forgot that his passport is expiring in less than 3 months. Borobodur was truly an amazing sight to behold!

The visit to places affected by the volcano eruption was pretty shocking. Sinking our feet into the bubbling hot volcanic 'river' was therapeutic :)

All the tourist-y things that we did made the trip a whole load more fun.heh.

CNY got a lil sweeter this year with this kids around. Although I was their class teacher for only 2 months plus. That short span of time with them was amazing! Made me realize that my childhood ambition of being a teacher was not exactly a childhood ambition after all!

February 6th then came, and the BFF Ming turned 21 :)

A simple celebration with great home-cooked food and fellowship. Followed by Mafia game. Not stating the obvious but I'm always the target. First to be killed by the Mafias.

It was time for another Spice Girls member to leave us for Down Under.

A Yinnadeh farewell dinner at the crib was held especially for Princess Tiara Dearest. Sarees really do bring out the beauty in a girl.luvit.

Though it was just a simple Tortilla curry chicken + Mushroom soup dinner. It was the homies that made it a fabulous night <3.

Making our Annual Peedee trip. Visited the sandflies beach. Tanned ourselves while playing monkey in the totally-cannot-be-praised sea water. Got myself some good bruise while screaming up and down on the Banana Boat.

the procastination has hit a whole new level.It's June already.half a year has come and go just like that.like it or not.Time truly waits for no one.Before another 3 months come and go, I shall write a short post on Pow wow.probably a long draggy one when exams are over and done with.mmhmm.

Pow wow 2011 - INVICTUS was smashingly, superbly, awesome. With a heavy heart i left the KS study group to go to Ulu Yam alongside with hundred plus of equally excited and enthusiastic Rangers and Commanders.

It was 4-days of great fun, fellowship and fantastic worship. God truly does not disappoint. Leading the white shield to victory was one of the highlights of the camp.ROAR. We're STRONG DEFENDERS yawww. From a ranger to being a commander now myself, I've grown so much. But the passion for the ministry has not faded, not even a single bit.

Council Fire - Funky/Crazy/Unique headgear.

This bunch of peeps has seen me through my unglam and glam momentos for a decade. Mischievous and immature we may be 10 years ago, but look at us now, all grown up, adorning blue pins on our collars with blings on our pockets and being respected as Commanders!

Once a ranger, ALWAYS a ranger. \M/

New friendships were made, old ones rekindled or tightened. All the wonderful memories, bits and pieces, LEGENDARY MOMENTS will all go down memory lane :D

It was an ordinary train on an ordinary journey, humming comfortably along Japan's eastern coast. Seconds later it was swept off the tracks by the ferocious waves of the tsunami and dumped, mangled and twisted, in the mud.

The terrifying ease with which it was flung from its rails near the town of Shinchi symbolizes the awesome power of the raging waters that battered Japan, leaving a trail of devastation and a nation in mourning.

One witness said he saw a truck on its side with a dead man still in the driver's seat. "Then I saw a man walking, completely black with mud, like something from a horror film," he said.

The death toll in Japan's earthquake and tsunami will likely exceed 10,000 in one state alone, an official said Sunday, as millions of survivors were left without drinking water, electricity and proper food along the pulverized northeastern coast.

According to officials, more than 1,400 people were killed — including 200 people whose bodies were found Sunday along the coast — and more than 1,000 were missing in the disasters. Another 1,700 were injured.

so you may ask:

'If God is all-powerful and all-loving, why are there tornadoes, earthquakes, tragedies? Why does God allow bad things to happen, even to seemingly good people? ' When it comes to tragedy (no matter the scale), it is easy to let emotions drive the issue. Carried along by a current of grief, anger, or confusion, it becomes both simple and compelling to lay the blame at God's feet for natural disasters and other accidents not caused by human beings.

The answer to why God allows anything can only be fully answered by God or by one who knows the mind of God. Outside of such knowledge, one can only speculate or try to glean hints and insights through prayer and from faith-based literature (such as, in the Christian context, the Bible).

Why do bad things happen to good people? The biblical answer is there are no “good” people. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that all of us are tainted by and infected with sin (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 6:23; 1 John 1:8).

Romans 3:10-18 could not be clearer about the non-existence of “good” people: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Every human being on this planet deserves to be thrown into hell at this very moment. Every second we spend alive is only by the grace and mercy of God. Even the most terrible misery we could experience on this planet is merciful compared to what we deserve, eternal hell in the lake of fire.

Yes, sometimes bad things happen to people who seem undeserving of them. But God allows things to happen for His reasons, whether or not we understand them. Above all, however, we must remember that God is good, just, loving, and merciful. Often things happen to us that we simply cannot understand. However, instead of doubting God's goodness, our reaction should be to trust Him.

Paul declares that no amount of suffering or hardship can separate a human being from the love of Christ (Romans 8:39) and that the "sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Romans 8:18).

According to the Bible, a person is on this earth for only a brief time. During that brief time, human beings live in a fallen, cursed earth -- surrounded by pain, suffering, and death. That, however, is not the final destination, nor is it the whole story. If one accepts the biblical explanation for pain and suffering, one can then take comfort in the fact that God is sovereign, that pain and suffering are temporal, and that (in the end) perfect justice will be established.

so do not lose faith my dear brothers and sisters in Christ :)

6 weeks with this bunch of kiddos and i must say i kinda miss them already.

it started off pretty rough as they couldn't pronounce my name properly.so it went from Teacher Leny to Reny and finally Teacher Renee.*beams*

teaching those cutie pies truly makes my day.the innocence and naiveness.reminds me of how simple life as a child was.all their statements and conversations never fail to put a smile on my face.those little actions and words spoken and they can burst out into laughter.oh how simple life as a child is :)

You can truly learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance. and trust me, a child can ask questions that even a wise man cannot answer! being a teacher and being a commander is not the same.but it all boils down to ♥.

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, 'Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty.'

Finally the third tree said, 'I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest Tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me.'

After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, 'This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter, 'and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.

At the second tree the woodsman said, 'This looks like a strong tree. I should be able to sell it to the shipyard.' The second tree was happy Because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.
When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, 'I don't need anything special from my tree, I'll take this one,' and he cut it down.

When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for.

The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end.

The third tree was cut into large pieces, and left alone in the dark.

The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.

Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.

Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and He stood and said 'Peace' and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, God will give you great gifts.
Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined.

We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His Ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

loud cries and wails are what greets me each morning the moment i step out from my car and walk towards my work place. Enter the workplace and i'll see my energetic clients bopping up and down the stairs. They'll greet me with their oh-so-innocent smiles and start blabbering on and on about those little bits and pieces of their stress-free life :) I love work on Wednesdays especially. experiments and playground time! oh yeah. Art and craft on Friday.

Kids nowadays have like super duper power throats that enables them to scream and cry and shout for hours!! ohemgee. strongheart one.

Imaginary world.mmm.what are kids without their awesome imaginary skills eh. I have this girl in my class (i'm the class teacher for a 6 years old class) who never sit still and pay attention to whatever i'm teaching.she can go on 'beach and kite flying trips' while i'm teaching maths. Another boy has an imaginary friend. strongheart two.

There's probably 100 strongheart momentos I have in mind now..but of course.HAPPY heart moments trumps Strongheart momentos :)

suddenly.it was New Year's eve already! settled and ran some errands at the Kindergarden, then lunch with D'cruz and familia :) Sid's pub fellowship with the GT Klangites :D followed by mamak with the old woman and Mike's baptism! then house party with PP and many new friends :) mamak after that at 3am bumping into more GT Klangites ;)

the clock struck midnight and the mercun were lighted.fireworks lighted up the beautiful sky.happy new year greetings were exchanged and hugs and beers and fellowships tagged along.

i had a great 2010.and like i said.each and every single one of you that has been part of my life, mentioned or not mentioned, you've made a difference :)

"LIKE OHMYGAWSHHH, it's 2011 tomorrow alreadyyy!!!"

The thought of ushering in a brand new year gives me the jitters. 2010 had been such an amazing year. A year of completion and change.

Winning the Monash Business Challenge was one of the highlight of the uni year. Appearing on a local newspaper was definitely an additional bonus. Heh. New bunch of friends were made this year. *beams* Got more involved with clubs and activities. I definitely don’t dread going to Uni. Always proud to say I’m a Monash-ian. Because we’re just cool that way :) It’s one great chapter of my life that I’m still painting and writing. Time is ticking fast and soon this wonderful chapter of mine will come to an end, but while I’m still at it, I’m gonna rock it out and live it to the fullest. Studying ftw! :D Next year, it’s gonna be a lagi legendary year! Mmhmm. I can so feel it. ;) Through the assignments and dramas of university, I am grateful and thankful to God that I’ve completed my 2^nd year.

One more year and Renee Koo Huey-Ee will be a graduate. At the age of 20! *BEAMS*

Royal Rangers. Just typing this 2 words and I’m smiling silly already :) This ministry has impacted and changed my life in so many ways I wouldn’t possibly imagine. So you may think that we’re just like scouts. But you’re wrong! Royal Rangers is a ministry that truly is life changing! Mission trips, cool campouts, great people, skills that you’ll never learn anywhere else! And of course, we learn about God, the reason for our existence. New medals were added onto my uniform this year too. *beams* First year as a lieutenant commander and I must say that I’ve never regretted a second serving in Ranger Kids outpost. Serving those adorable kids has brought so much joy to me. I look forward to see them every single week! That simple greeting from them, that smile, that hug :) The wonderful people in the ministry have blessed me so much. I am truly grateful to the Master Ranger for sending so many wonderful people alongside me to serve in this ministry. The dedication and commitment and sacrifices each and every commander makes inspires me so much. Once a ranger, always a ranger!

I still remember how excited and nervous I was when I first led worship in Children church. I think I was around 13 or 14. And now I am 19 already. It really does seem like it was yesterday that I was sitting in the Music room as a newcomer, feeling all lost with my hello kitty bag. Then one by one, important people started appearing in my life :) Look at us now, we’re LEADERS! God is truly moulding us. To be His mighty vessel! It can get pretty tiring at times, but hey! Who are we to complain? Who are we to say that we’ve got no time to serve? God gave up His one and only begotten son. To die and undergo so much suffering and pain just to cleanse us from our unrighteousness. We’re MADE to serve Him. :) Take up the bold step to say ‘I want to Serve. I want to be used by Him. I want to be the change I want to see in the world. I do not want to sit back and stay in my comfort zone. I want to spread the good news out to the world. So the blind will be able to see, the lame will be able to walk.’ Indeed we serve an awesome God, and He did not create you and I to be slackers or bummers. Remove all thoughts that you’re not good enough to serve! For we are His child. His wonderful creation :) We are GOOD!

Just recently this year my uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer. It is already in its 3rd stage and chemo is no longer an option. I always wondered why God allow such sad things to happen. Seeing those people in the ward suffer brings tears to my eyes and heart. When me and my mum was praying over this Indian uncle sharing the same ward as my uncle the other day, it broke my heart to see a life slowly slipping away. He was still talking to my mum the day before. and suddenly. he was on life support. his hands and body were cold. the only thing keeping him alive was the machine. As we were praying over his life and him, his sister was always at his side, supporting him, telling him that she loves him. she was filled with sorrow and pain too. she wailed and sobbed. it was heart breaking. It made me think alot. about Life, about Family, about Cancer, about God, about Love.

"Love suffers long and is kind;

Love does not envy;

Love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

My uncle is still fighting and hanging in there. I believe God can work wonders. we're still praying for his salvation. Do say a simple prayer every night for all the cancer survivors and fighters out there for they really need it.

It has truly been an exciting year with many highlights and happenings, ups and downs, with so many new memories to be cherished and added into Renee Koo's storybook. Thank you dear all for making my 2010 a wonderful and memorable one. Each and every single one of you has been God sent and have made my life more colourful. Thank You :)

and above everything else, thank you my dear Heavenly Father and Creator for Your unfailing love, grace and mercy to me each day. Thank you, thank you, thank YOU.

Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and saltwater flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

A message from the chairman of the camp this year:

ONE, that was the last year GY Camp 2009 theme. Early of this year, I prayed to God and ask Him, why do You want to unite the youths and become ONE ? As I prayed, the word “Kingdom” caught my attention.

When God showed me 1 Chronicles 28:7 – I will establish his kingdom forever if he is unswerving in carrying out my commands and laws, as is being done at this time; I begin to realize that the new generation is rising. It’s a continuous work of the Holy Spirit from last year GY Camp 2009; when Ps Daniel Ross prayed for the missionaries, business persons, politicians and other on the last night as he led by the Holy Spirit.

I believe that God’s Kingdom is a powerful, mighty, rich and prosperous kingdom. There are priest, merchant, lawyer, politician, architect, journalist, and many more that are ready to expand His Kingdom into different industries and areas.

I pray that in this GY Camp 2010, you will know more about God’s Kingdom and understand that you had a part in it. As it is written, God will establish your kingdom, His kingdom, if you would humble before the King of Kings and remember all the commandments and laws that is written in the bible. God will bring you through series of training and test so that you may come out stronger and an experience person.

You must rise up and claim your position so that the kingdom of heaven that Jesus talk about, can become a reality. The King has summon, are you ready to answer ?

This year would be my second year attending Grace Youth Camp.and i must say we serve an awesome God.Youths expect to meet more friends (one of the TOP reason), have a great time of praise and worship, have a blast during games time, get some latest catch up and updates, learn one or more thing from workshops and so on.

i must say i expected all this too.but God gave me more than what i expected :)

He reminded me how much He loved me and that I am not a disappointment.Those encouraging words and prayer spoken over my life hit my heart and i cried like a child.a child in awe of the greatness of her Father-in-Heaven.

'May Your Kingdom come,

and Your will be done,

as we search Your heart,

search Your heart.

Let salvation flow,

as Your people pray,

Lord we long for more,

long for more....'

Even though camp has come to an end.we must realize that the hype and excitement does not end there.now the challenge really begin.To live the life God intended us to live.To serve Him with no complaints, with no doubts, but with faith and a joyful heart.

We are living in a generation that is in need of a true living Saviour.We need to say 'YES Lord, I want to be the Light and Salt of the world.' I don't want to live an ordinary life, but I want to stand out among my peers, I want to SHINE, I want to be different for my King.

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to God for:

the wonderful opportunity to be able to serve You
sending so many great and awesome people into my life through this camp
Your everlasting love for me, reminding me over and over again that You love me so much and that is a fact that will never change.
Your amazing presence at camp.

hello there gorgeous November :)

the month of exams.2 papers down.2 more to go.12th November is THE day I'm counting down to.all the wonderful plans and outing that I'm soooo itching to do and go for.is NEARING :D uni has been my lovely 2nd home.wake up.mandi.berus gigi.pack.head straight to uni.head back to homesweethome only when the sun is down and the stars are out.stressing about what-to-eat has become our routine and is probably one of the highlights of our study time.oh.of course.how could i possibly shun the spotlight of ultimate frisbee :) the monopoly deal and pictionary momentos.angry birds and cut the ropes.the battle is not over but i just want to take this time to thank my fellow nerd battle warriors for being such an awesome bunch.:) kudos.

The parental unit are coming back on Monday from the 3rd largest country in the world-China.the sis would be back from her lifegame camp besok.can't wait for family dinner time <3 listening to Christmas songs gives me the jitter.i can't wait for caroling.the lovely fellowship time with loved ones.and the list just goes on and on and on....*dashing through the snow...*

My first saman experience was not a very glam one.the food intake for the month is not something worth shouting out.and let's keep it that way.i'm truly sorry dear stomach.i'll get working on those fats as soon as my finals is over.i promise!

tomorrow commemorates Malaysia's 53rd year of independece from the British colonial rule.Malaysia has come a long way to reach where we are today.though there's some out there thinking that we Malaysians still live on trees...(like seriouslyyyy?! -___-) i'm pretty proud of our country.after all.it is a rainbow nation! :D

oh the nasi lemaks, sates, cendols, bahkutteh, chee cheong fun, chicken rice, char kuey teow, okayyy.i can just go on and on and on.it's practically an endless list.hah!

the muhhibah-ness of the chinese, indians and malays.

the sickening ways of Malaysian driving, parking, uncleanliness, those lahhs just makes Malaysia Malaysia.:)

some of our nation's pride includes the keluaran of our very own first national car - PROTON SAGA yawww! hah! :D the KL Menara Berkembar and it's big brother - KL tower.the Sepang Race Circuit that lifted out nation's image especially in hosting international events such as Formula One Race.Everest had its first Malaysian team up there about 10 years ago in 1997.and then we had Malaysians swimming across the selat Inggeris and conquering the Antarctic and also to the ISS (International Space Station)!

so i did a lil research on our country.hee :)

i admit i'm not a patriotic Malaysian.i admit being a hypo at time too.yes Malaysia ada banyak kekurangan.so much to complain about.being claimed as first world infrastructure with a third world mentality kinda hurts.

Let's find that patriotic bit of us and show it.reveal it.flaunt it.

on a totally unrelated note.just watched a documentary on national geographic channel on hurricanes.

the greatest hurricane to hit America in 2005 - New Orleans.it caused an estimated destruction of $2billion. well.yes.it was a long time ago but it was like a simple reminder of the event.my dad was telling me bout the prophecy about the disaster.the warnings sent out before it took place.the homosexual parade and week long celebration.coincidence? i don't think so.

"How am I going to be fed??"

"How am I going to survive in this wilderness??"

millions of people asked those questions when Moses led the Israelites out of Egpyt.think about it.desert.HOT.food?? drinks?? NO DEAL!! thought of where would an incalculable quantity of food and water would come from.boleh survive ke??

Yet.in this seemingly impossible situation, God provided! :)

Exodus 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

God provided Manna from heaven!! woooow!

When the people first saw the Manna on the ground, they wondered in amazement saying to each other, “What is this?”, which is exactly what “Manna” means in Hebrew — “What is it?”

They were receiving the food of angels, [Psalm 78:24-25] which sustained them the entire time in the desert.

But we know what happened as time passed…the people got used to this miraculous provision, began to take it for granted, and even be bored with it, and, of course…the wonder of God’s supernatural provision evaporated.

Israel lost sight of the miracle that God was doing in their lives each and every day.='(

Each and every day is a miracle from God.

Each day of our lives we walk through a world filled with the wonders and glory of the Lord. But we, too, can become dull and lose the wonder of all that He has done and provided for us, even our very salvation. We need to awaken to the daily miracles of life, and to the never ending opportunities the Lord is opening, to pour His love into us, and through us.

As we do, may we always be saying to ourselves,

“Wow — what amazing love is this that’s been given to me!”

it was scorching hot.then it rained.and there was a rainbow.God promised me good weather.:) and without a doubt.He gave us a gorgeous day at Gold Coast, Morib.

the smooth, soft, fine sand reallyyy made my day.:D

hike! hike! hike!

'Goood morning!' 'zou san!'

those are few common words exchanged during my almost weekly hikes at Gasing.i loveee the breathe of fresh air.the greens surrounding me.

each step taken is a step of confidence.those sweat dripping down.feels great!

hiking truly is a great way to commune with nature.:)

i remember one of my very first proper hikeeee.was when i still a pioneer girl (that'll take me about 9 years back?).together with the pioneer boys.we headed over to bukit kutu.ohemgeee.that.was.a.disastrous hike! i wasn't even fit to start with.a supposedly short 5 hours hike up.turned out to be like what.7 or 8 hours? yes.it was dreadful.very.felt like giving up every minute! our complaints were heard throughout the jungle.

bags were torn apart.shoes koyak.pants ada lubang.those were common sights.hah.bruises.leaches.were our new best friends.we reached the top.panting.this close to pengsan-ing.to a lalang-filled land greeting us.OMG.have to clear the lalang to set up our tents.we thought.'this cannot be happeningggg to us!' we tossed bags around.went down under branches.did commando crawls.whatever glam-ness we had.was running on a negative level.hah.

ps: no one looks good while hikingggg anyways! ;)

that's how i recalled bukit kutu.i've not returned to that bukit ever since.would loveee to one day.:)

many think that hiking is so suffering.tiring.gruesome.but i loveee the thrill and challenge that comes together with it! this i guess i've to credit my dad.who loves hiking too.he recently conquered Tahan yawww! *way to go la hippieee daddy* :)

sunrises.the cold fresh air.reaching the peak and witnessing amazing birds eye view.is just uncontainable.:) just sucking all the wonderful creation of God is amazing.

of course.the company.is always great too.:)

hiking trains you up physically.and mentally too! sometimes.it's all about the mind.say CAN.and you CAN! last time i always looked up those dreadful killer long stretches and wonder when would i ever reach the top.now?

i just take one step at a time.not looking up.helps.;)

the coming down part.is the most unglam part.i hate coming downnnnns! the knee.poor knee.coming down from Gunung Datuk was like a never ending journey.and i started 'hallucinating'.saw green treas as cendol.rock as pondok.it was hilarious! hahaha.

but then when you're down and done.you feel soooo strong and awesome.and THIN.:)

When Jesus says blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy, he assumes that you really can't be merciful until you've received mercy in the first place. Mercy is not a deal, but an ongoing lifestyle. We receive mercy then we show mercy and as a result we receive more mercy, and as a result, we then show more mercy—and on and on.

It's like we're rolling a snowball downhill. We start with a small one, maybe the size of a baseball. As we toss it down the hill, immediately gravity starts to pull it farther downhill. As it rolls over, of course, it collects more snow. Now it's bigger and heavier, and so gravity pulls it even harder. It rolls over even faster, and collects more snow, and gets heavier, and rolls faster. And so on. Before you know it, it's a huge ball, bounding down the hill. That's how it is with mercy: The more we receive mercy, the more we give mercy.

Because we get distracted and have long bouts with selfishness, we collect sticks and branches in our little ball, and that slows us down. Sometimes we come to a complete halt, stuck halfway down the mountain. So we find ourselves remembering that we didn't deserve to roll as far as we had in the first place, and that without God's mercy, we'll go no farther. And that's when God comes along, trims off the branches sticking out from us, and gives us that little push to start us rolling downhill again, so that we can practice and enjoy mercy upon mercy upon mercy upon mercy.

the clock showed 11.30pm.the date on my phone flashed 13th May.in half an hour's time, it will be 14th May.the day i look forward to every year. i open up my journal.started to dribble down my thoughts.i reflected on my life.the 19 years that i have lived.tears started rolling down my cheeks.

Did i live a fulfilling and purpose-filled life?

Am I who I was created to be?

the rush of emotions.was overwhelming.

God has been blessing me with so much. I don't know where to start. and I don't see an ending to it neither. He is that good.:)

19 years.19 years.some friendship hit the decade stage.some new and wonderful bonds were formed.the story of my life is filled with soooo many more interesting and awesome stories that i would love to share with every living soul on this planet earth.everything hits a new high level.

I don't see myself as a perfect girl.

I don't see myself as a perfect christian.

neither do i see myself as a perfect daughter, sister, or a friend.

but i do know one thing for sure.my creator.the king above all kings.is moulding me.to be who He wants me to be.:)

i had one of my very first camp here at Broga Outback campsite.it seems much smaller now.maybe i was much smaller then.the camp was filled with fun family projects.wagon buildings.t-shirt designs.hiking.campfire.cookarama.it was a great sight to see as families bond, fellowship and having a great timeee.:)

April had been a pretty awesome month at that. I've experienced some pretty high and low moments.;) from extraction of wisdom tooth #2 *shivers* that made me look like i swallowed a giant fish ball and left it in my left cheek to conquering Gunung Datuk to GO karting to my very first paintball experience to getting hunted down by guards to eating beautiful burgers (burger king's double whopper, big brother's must-try-burger, chili's oh-so-awesome BBQ ranch burger).not surprised why i (was sick for 4 days) stepped on the weighing scale the other day and it showed 45.i shoutedddd so loud.only to have my dad come and shake the scale dan cakap dengan saya: 'the bla bla dah senget.try again!'

thanks la thanks.just when i thought God decided to give me an early birthday present.

we celebrated resurrection Sunday (4th April.yes it's also your bday christee wong.<3) this year at Taman Rimba.and i must say the set up was really beautiful.it was like a live concert yo.and our rockstar is none other than JESUS CHRIST the risen one! :)

watched 'how to train your dragon' and 'shutter island'.one happy much.:))) and the other.ganchiong much.'shut uppppp' was pretty frequented by me in the cinema.hahahha.i would love to spill all the yummy delicious food i had this month too.but nahh.shall save you from salivatinggg on your dusty keyboards! heh.

assignments and tests.hmmmm.cut the long story short.i'm pretty chilax this sem.no complaints.:) got a few assignments and test results back and i must say.i'm happy.thank you Lord.=D

it was dinner with the gang again.:) in conjuction with wee kiat's bday.we headed over to Kota Damansara to try out BIG BROTHER.and i must say.i loveeeee that place! the burger.is BEST.i couldn't fit into my mouth.yes.it's that graceful.hahaha.and the cheese fries.mmmmmmmmm! it's halal.so no pork burgers! but almost everything on the menu looks super yummyyyyyyyy! i'll def head back here.:)

it's always a good good time of bursting and fellowship when it comes to this bunch.:)

My piano teacher, Madam Lee Ching Ching held a charity concert in aid for the Taman Megah lovely home.read the article here :)

she's a wonderful teacher.she's not my first piano teacher but she has taught me for a good 6 or was it 7 years.i saw kathleen (her youngest daughter) grow in her tummy till a grown girl now (she's standard 3 now!).i quit after i got my diploma.i still remember how much me and my sister hated piano lessons.those kuantan days.i dreaded practicing.i dreaded lessons.my piano teacher super sayanggged me but i really hated piano classes.we cried when our dad said NO to quitting.we shouted 'i hate you sooo much' and slammed the doors many times.hahahah.those exams time are the scariest! it's just the examiner.and you.and the piano.goshhhh.so glad it's all over and done with now.:)

i have to thanks but my parents of course that i'm able to play the piano now.for their determination and sacrifice.for the moneyyyy spent on both me and my sister.now we actually enjoy playing the piano! being able to serve in ministries is an extra thing to thank the lord!:) do-re-mi!

(2nd and 3rd April)

started off my easter break with a trip to Gunung Datuk with the MWAC-ers (Monash Wild Adventure Club).:D

after 'monster-in-law' and 'the girl-next-door'.we arrived at alai (somewhere at malacca) to makan seafood! our poor stomachs were making noises.no thanks to the graceful kuaci INman.heh.;)

the 8 fellas that whacked 15nasi lemaks, 2 big fishes, 1giant stingray, 2sotong, 1kangkung belacan, 2jugs of watermelon juice and lala.:)

headed over to pulau pantai for rest.the rubbish motor game.jing tian wo men hen kai xin.taboo.charades.and of course.highlight of the night - TORCHLIGHT DRAWING.:))))

ohemgee.it is super duper FUN.i call it air drawing.:) as it was really dark.those canggih manggih cameras were set to really slow shutter speed.then professional air-drawers *coughs* *renee* will turn on the torchlights and start sketching in mid air at lightning speed! =D 2 hours and i don't smell tiredness! air drawing really can keep me entertain.:)

so we kept on drawing and drawing.every new piece is an element of surprise..

from names writing to building drawings to stickmans with bikini and speedos to happy farm with happy animals to buses and dragonball.our mind work wonders after the midnight clock has struck! :)

energy level was kinda running low.semangat level increasing.it was 3am.everyone hopped onto the bus.the kuaci man's bas sekolah.the graceful orange bus.tutup mata to get some rest.then the aircond went off.....then before we knew it.the kuaci man is out of the bus.our bus broke down.just great.i could just see my sunrise dream fly into thin air.*waves* ='(

replacement bus came to the rescue after 2 hours of waiting.or rather rubbish charades on the beach.heh :)

well.hello there creature!

so we started our conquest around 7plus.yes.it was bright already.yolk was out.and we were shown the peak.i was like wow.seriously??? i thought it was a pretty impossible feat as it was really high!!

with sheer determination.......i arrived at the peak.

and the view was just breath-taking!!!:)

i'm at the top of the world! looking.down at creation.......amazing.

it's April already.wow.it's like as if my birthday is just a week away.hahahahaha.ok.terlampau sikit la.heh :)

2010 has been great so far.God has shown His faithfulness to me again and again.He just never fail to amaze me with His marvelous works.thank You dear Lord.

*lunch sessions

the relaxed time table means i get to spend more time with loved ones! :) from teochew fishball to burger king to free nandos to wantan mee to ikea meatballs.i am a happy girl indeed.=D

*National Leaders conference

on the 27th of March, leaders from Selangor, Klang, Malacca, Penang and etc gathered together for a conference to discuss issues relating to rangers.of course.;) the wonderful people that took up the calling to serve the Lord.kudos! it was great meeting up with everyone once again.the wonderful ministry God has so much installed for.:) greater things ahead!

*Indian wedding

i likeee this 2 shots of mine.:) our cleaner's son tied the know on 28th March.:) though i don't know him personally, being part of this joyous occasion sure is a happy thing.witnessing an indian ceremony sure is interesting! there's so many stuff going on non-stop! the bright colours everywhere.the lights.:) they even hired lion dance troupe to perform! talk about 1Malaysia yo.we were treated like VIPs.:) the mutton.the curry.the cendol.the papadum.the briyani.i can go on and on.heh.

*extraction of the wisdom tooth

yes.that's me.trust me.that was pure fear on my face.the drill sounds.the sawing.the pulling.UGH.my feet was so soft.i was shivering.of course i didn't feel pain as i was anesthetized.and it was a pretty quick surgery.but it was a dreadful one.i just hate dentists.i hate the spotlight.dah lah i had to remove 4 beautiful strong teeth for my braces.=S my dentist warned me of the side effects, the post-extraction pain.i was actually expecting for the worst.the pain so bad that i won't be able to eat anything.so i had sushi zanmai before extraction.heh.:) so it was hours after the extraction.and i didn't feel much pain! =D ate with one side.but it was all good.praise God!

this year round we celebrated resurrection sunday at Taman Rimba.it was a great sight as the whole pj and subang congregation gathered together on a lovely early sunday morning for a combined service.joining with nature.embracing God's word.remembering His sacrifice.His amazing love for us.though we're as filthy and lowly as a worm.Jesus was willing to call himself a worm.to identify with us.He was striped off of all His pride.He was brought soooo low that no man could personally go through.the sufferings He endured for our sins.the pain He went through.for our sins.for our unrighteousness.

Worthy is the Lamb indeed.for He reign victorious!

Let us be reminded each day of His grace.and live a life that is pleasing and glorifying unto His Name.:)

*bakar lemak moments

i picked up squash this year.and i must say it is a fun sport.:) got back to badminton this year too.those were the high-school days where we played so often! it's great to get together with them again.swimmings on friday mornings are my feel-good time.:) the blue clear water.each stroke taken.calories burnt.body toned.heh.i just conquered Gunung Datuk with MWAC (Monash Wild Adventure Club) peeps.and boy am i proud of my achievement.:) will blog about that some other time.:) aerobics with Cindy Crawford is a good reminder that i am losing calories so i don't feel so guilty indulging.=D

it seems like just yesterday i turned 18.now this babe here is 18.and i'll be 19.*gasps*
it's been like YEARS since the mission trip bunch of '05 all gathered together.i miss you, you and you....='( seeing how much we've all grown physically and spiritually and mentally makes me :)
in the past we were just noob rangers.knowing nuts about how to tie a figure-eight knot or starting a fire or pitching a tent...to teaching and helping out now at our separate outpost.God definitely works through many amazing ways huh.;)

May we all continue to be World-class christians and not worldly christians! knowing that we were saved to serve and made for an ultimate mission.May our Joy, confidence and enthusiasm be sooo contagious and let's all continue to make a difference in other's lives.<3

this unit is pretty lebihh.we learn about systems and symbols and how's the processes and yadaaa yadaaa.*yawns* but Mr.Eugene is a pretty interesting character that never fails to amuse us.hahahha.

AFW3121: Investments and portfolio management
oh yes.this is one pretty demonic subject.my first 3rd year unit! i'm still lost in the jungle for this unit.the only thing i know for now.is BUY STOCKS! hahahha.it's pretty fun.:)

ECW1102: Introductory macroeconomics
my first elective unit.:) i don't LOVE economics.but i don't hate it either.cause it's normally my top score unit.heh.so yea.i'm pretty much a financier, marketer and also economist! *beam*
MKW2402: Consumer behaviour

marketing subjects are interesting.:) but when it comes to the theory part.then it gets a little dull.but oh well.not complaining as it is a much happier unit as compared to accounts! hahaha.
